Deliverables will vary depending on the project scope. At the conclusion of the project, you will have assets that can be used to further your business goals, such as a completed report.
Note: If learners are completing confidential work that you do not want shared through Riipen, you can create and sign off on a timesheet for the learner. In this case, we might also recommend that you have the learners sign an NDA before starting your project. You can use the Agreements feature to do this.
Project Examples
Requirements
- Projects should be designed for students to engage in 5-10 hours per week for the duration. Projects can range from several weeks to several months.
- Given the short, remote nature of this experience, we require a project-based experience. Please provide a concrete scope for the learner’s work and limit their work to a specific project.
- While learners will interact with you to complete the project, we want them to be able to understand the scope of the project by reading your project details. This will also help to ensure that you have the right learners applying to your projects!
Ideal projects for this experience should involve real-world sustainability challenges. Examples include:
- Sustainability Strategy Development: Collaborate with a company to design a comprehensive sustainability plan that includes resource efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimization.
- Environmental Training Program: Create and implement an educational program that trains employees or community members on sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.
- Conservation Project Analysis: Conduct research on conservation efforts for a specific habitat or species, providing recommendations for enhancing protection and management strategies.
- Resource Management Assessment: Evaluate the usage of natural resources in a business or community, offering solutions to optimize sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
- Advocacy Campaign for Environmental Policy: Develop and manage a digital advocacy campaign to support new or ongoing environmental legislation, aimed at increasing public awareness and engagement.
